D&B AAA-Rating

D&B's appraisal of business risks is based on broad, in-depth, up-to-date information that allows you to quickly predict a company's risk of success or bankruptcy. D&B AAA-Rating is a unique corporate credit rating system, involving 2,400 decision‑making rules which analyse and appraise all the information available. Using our reliable credit-rating system we can predict more than 70% of all bankruptcies one year in advance.

The D&B AAA-Rating system helps you make fast and, above all, correct decisions.
You can certainly do business with anyone, but thanks to credit rating and the recommended credit limit, you can see when you should request advance payment or restrict the amount of credit provided.

D&B AAA-Rating is updated daily and is thus always up to date.
The results of an analysis are presented as a rating code, in four sub-assessments, and with a recommended credit limit. D&B AAA-Rating is available in several different products.

AAA Maximum credit rating AA Good credit rating A Creditworthy AN Newly started company - No rating established B Credit with provided security C Credit not recommended

AAA – Highest credit worthiness
Applicable on limited companies only. Also, the company turnover must be higher than NOK 1 mill., it must have existed for at least 2 years and ratios need to be substantially higher than industry average.


AA – Good credit worthiness
The highest rating a trading-, limited partnership- and private company can get. Limited companies with a turnover of NOK 0,5 mill. and key ratios higher than average.


A – Credit worthy
To get rating A, the key ration should be over average or average


AN – New company
New businesses without any negative information


B – Credit with safety measurements
For companies whose key ratios are below industry average and companies with negative information


C - Credit advised against
Businesses with major payment problems, used up share capital, bankrupcy commitment or with key ratios far below industry average. Businesses with serious accountant remarks also get rating C.


(-) – Rating not applicable

Rating is not applicable on businesses where important information is missing, out of date or on inactive businesses. D&B AAA-Rating is available in Nordic reports. In other countries D&B's international rating is available.
